Richard Nemec Joins Savings Bank Of Danbury

WATERBURY — The Savings Bank of Danbury announced that Richard A. Nemec has joined the bank as vice president for commercial lending. Mr Nemec will be operating from the branch office and lending center at 357 Bank Street in Waterbury.

In his role, he will develop and manage a book of commercial relationships including loans and deposits. A graduate of University of Connecticut, Mr Nemec brings with him over 31 years banking experience to Savings Bank of Danbury.

Mr Nemec currently serves on the Waterbury Hospital Fund Development Board, and is a member of the Connecticut Community Foundation, the Waterbury Elks Club, the Watertown Golf Club, and is past president of the Waterbury Exchange Club. He has also been very active with civic organizations such as the Waterbury Chamber, American Red Cross, United Way, Rotary, and others.

Established in 1849, and headquartered at 220 Main Street, Danbury, Savings Bank of Danbury is a mutual savings bank with assets in excess of $600 million. The financial institution has 12 branch offices located throughout the region in Bethel, Brookfield, Danbury, New Fairfield, New Milford, Newtown, and Waterbury.
