WGG To Host Gallery Walk & Wine Tasting

WOODBURY — Woodbury Gallery Group (WGG) will host its second annual gallery walk and wine tasting on Saturday, September 23, from noon to 5 pm.

Art and wine enthusiasts are invited to enjoy the wide range of art on display at member galleries, all within a short stroll on Main Street South, and sample a selection of wines from the Mediterranean.

Beginning at 345 Main Street, Fenn Gallery of Contemporary Art features modernist representational and abstract paintings, as well as sculpture and photography by established and emerging artists. On view will be “reFORMations; New Forms from Ancient Techniques,” an exhibition of contemporary interpretations in fiber by Paula Renee and ceramic art by Robin Johnson.

Continuing south, the gallery at Woodbury Antiques and Fine Art, nestled behind a field at 473 Main Street, blends American 19th and 20th Century art with exhibits by contemporary local artists, along with continental and decorative furnishings.

Two doors down, at 495 Main, P.H. Miller Studio & Gallery exhibits representational fine art by both regionally and nationally recognized contemporary artists, and offers a wide selection of handmade gilded frames as well as gilded frame and object restoration. “Back Roads and Back Shores,” new works by Thomas C. Adkins, will be on view there.

Next on the walk is Fine Line Art Gallery, at 586 Main, which offers rotating exhibitions of representational fine art, pottery, jewelry, handmade paper collage, and antique prints, created by local and regional artists.

For more information, call 263-3939. “Gallery Mile” maps may be found at participating galleries or by visiting WoodburyArt.com.
