Dorothy   Clement

Dorothy (Keenan) Clement, 72, of 1 Glen Hill Road, Danbury, beloved wife of the late Alexander P. Clement, died at Harborside-Glen Hill Health Care Center on July 21.

She is survived by a son, Kevin P. Clement of Newtown; two sisters, Gertrude Brew and husband, James, and Margaret Cessario, all of Danbury; as well as three grandchildren, Alexandra, Daniel, and Kara Clement of Newtown; and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her brothers Walter R. Keenan, Jr, and Robert J. Keenan; and a sister, Helen Ledan.

Mrs Clement was born in Bridgeport, October 18, 1932, daughter of the Walter R. Keenan, Sr, and Gertrude (Blake). She was a 1950 graduate of Danbury High School and had worked for many years as a telephone operator and later as a customer service representative for the Southern New England Telephone Company. She had lived in Danbury and Bethel and was a member of Sacred Heart of Jesus Church.

A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated at Sacred Heart of Jesus Church on July 25.

Burial was in St Mary Cemetery, Bethel.

Contributions in her memory may be made to a charity of one’s choice.
