A Diversified Line-Up Will Return For Performance Café
WATERBURY â The popular Performance Café returns to Mattatuck Museumâs Performing Arts Center on Friday, January 26, at 7:30 pm.
The innovative modern dance company Kiva Dance Collective will perform along with a diverse line-up of other artists including Terre Lefferts, a Lakeville-based modern dancer and teacher with her own studio; the Lorraine Judd Youth Tap Dancers from Cheshire; Brass City Balletâs adult tap group; Yale grad student Bradon Nappi, performing a comedic monologue; original poetry readings by Judith Herman-Shapiro; and Bud Larson, a musician who will provide improvisational music to the dance collectiveâs improvised movements.
Performance Café is an evening of eclectic performances and a chance for audiences to be a part of the development of works in progress. All types of performers including poets, musicians, dancers and singers are welcome to perform at the performing arts showcase.
