Canine Obedience Classes
Canine Obedience Classes
Canine Training and Behavior Services, LLC will be conducting obedience classes at the Fairfield County Extension Center, 67 Stony Hill Road in Bethel, beginning on September 8, and at the Grooming Finalist on September 9.
Class offerings will include Basic Household Obedience, Advanced Obedience, Rally âOâ instruction and the American Kennel Clubâs Canine Good Citizen Program (CGC).
Canine Training and Behavior Services, LLC recognizes the importance of the American Kennel Clubâs CGC program and is committed to its continued growth and the resulting impact on responsible dog ownership. The AKCâs CGC Program is rapidly becoming recognized as the standard of behavior for dogs in our communities.
Canine Good Citizen resolutions have been passed by 18 state legislatures and the United States Senate, insurance companies are starting to insure breeds they would not otherwise insure, and many condominium associations around the United States now require that all dogs in the complex have earned the Canine Good Citizen Award.
Many dog owners choose the AKCâs CGC program as the first step in their pets training. This is a two-part program that stresses responsible pet ownership for owners and basic good manners for dogs. All dogs who pass the 10-step CGC test may receive a certificate from the American Kennel Club. This program will ensure that the dogs who share our lives will always be welcome and respected in our communities.
