CAPE COD MUSEUM WILL PRESENT ‘HOPPER’S PLACES & CAPE COD’ JUNE 30

DENNIS, MASS. — The Cape Cod Museum of Art will present the exhibition, “Hopper’s Places & Cape Cod Connections: Photographs by Gail Levin,” on view June 30–August 5.

Gail Levin, Edward Hopper scholar and curator of his works at the Whitney Museum, set out to photograph the houses that Hopper painted. These photographs became the subject of the book, Hopper’s Places, and will be on exhibit at the museum.

Gail Levin will give a talk on “Hopper’s Places” on Saturday, July 28, at 3 pm.

Art Historian Al Kochka will give a talk on Hopper’s approaches to “darkness and light” in his “restaurant series” and paintings of Cape Cod on July 15, at 2 pm.
