Volunteer Briefing

DANBURY –– Nonprofit homebuilder Housatonic Habitat for Humanity is holding informational volunteer briefings for people interested in becoming involved in Habitat’s neighborhood-rebuilding mission. The meetings are informal and, like Habitat homes, are open to people of any faith and any skill level.

The next volunteer briefing will be held Tuesday, December 16, from 7 to 8 pm, at HHfH’s office in Peacock Alley (below the North Street Shopping Center), 1 Padanaram Road.

For more information or directions to the briefings –– which are held the first Wednesday and the third Tuesday of every month –– call the Housatonic Habitat office at 744-1340.

Habitat International has built more than 120,000 homes housing more than 500,000 people over the past 25 years. Housatonic Habitat has completed nine homes in the Danbury area in the past seven years, including two in Newtown.
