Susan Cole

Former Newtown resident Susan Cole died October 15 at Pardee Memorial Hospital in Hendersonville, N.C. Born in Newtown, she was a daughter of the late Charles S. Cole and Lois Hewitt Cole.

Before moving to Heritage Hills in Hendersonville 15 years ago, she had been a resident of Heritage Hills in Somers, N.Y. She was an advertising executive in New York City, N.Y., for 30 years.

She was a member of the Senior Mixed Bowling League in Hendersonville, and was an avid tennis player.

Surviving is her niece, Susan Esterbrook of New Milford; a nephew, James Esterbrook of Hopkinton, Mass.; a brother, William Cole of Madison; several great-nieces and nephews; and a special friend, Charlie Morgan.

At her request, no services will be held.
