*Tellabration with Curtis Urbina: Story teller Curtis Urbina is bringing Tellabration, a celebration of story telling, to C.H. Booth Library for children ages 4-8 on consecutive Fridays, November 14 and 21, at 3:30 pm in the library meeting room.
On November 14 Curtis will feature silly stories, and on November 21 come and hear folk tales.
No sign up is required, just bring your imagination.
*Thanksgiving Craft: Children ages 6 and up are invited to make a Thanksgiving craft with Marie Walker on Saturday, November 22, from 1 to 2 pm, in the childrenâs story hour room. A $3 material fee is due upon registration.
*Gingerbread House Workshop:Â Itâs time for our annual gingerbread house workshop for children ages 4-10. This yearâs program will be on Saturday, December 13, from 2 to 3 pm, and the program is being sponsored by Camp Playland in Redding, so there is no fee.
Space is limited, however, to 60 participants. You must sign up in person at the childrenâs desk; no phone registrations will be accepted.
Each child will decorate a small pre-assembled graham cracker house with royal icing and festive candies.
The houses are not edible, but you can enjoy eating the candy while you decorate.
Young Adult                    Programs
*Young Writersâ Salon: The 6th Annual Young Writersâ Salon for âtweens and teens who like to write will be held on Sunday, November 23, at 3 pm.
Young people in grades 6-10 will read their original poetry, stories and other writing to an admiring audience in our coffeehouse atmosphere. Snow date is December 14.
A reminder that there will be a rehearsal at 1 oâclock on the day of the program. (Registration has closed for this event, so everyone who has signed up should already know about this rehearsal and plan to attend.)

Adult & Family              Programs
*Upcoming Book Discussions: The Evening Book Discussion on Thursday, November 20, at 7:30, will cover The Last Picture Show by Larry McMurtry.
Multiple copies of the books are available at the circulation desk. Everyone is invited
*Chess Tournament: Sponsored by the CH Booth Library Chess Club, a chess tournament will be played at the library on Saturday, November 29.
Registration begins at 9:30. Visit the libraryâs website for more details.
*Identifying Possible Delays: The final program in the series âIdentifying Possible Delays in Your Childâs Language, Social Skills and Learningâ will be a panel discussion called âLearning About Additional Services in the Community.â
Presented on Tuesday, December 2, at 7 pm, the panel will include Occupational Therapist Lynn Friebel, Music Therapist Barbara Baker, Aquatic Physical Therapist Gina Bradbury and Pediatric Occupational Therapist Cindy Freedman. The evening will include a discussion on some special talents often found in children with special needs.
Danbury School Psychologist Joan Nash will again moderate.

*Picture Magic â The Art of Digital Manipulation: A hands-on computer workshop on Thursday, December 4, from 7 to 9 pm, will help participants explore free Internet resources to organize, correct and share digital images, and create digital photo albums, slide shows and photo prints.
Instructors are Kenneth Graff and Anne Eigen. This class is for adults and is limited to ten people. There is no charge.
C.H. Booth Library is open Monday through Thursday, 9:30 am to 8 pm; Friday from 11 am to 5 pm; Saturday, 9:30 am to 5:30 pm; and Sunday from noon to 5 pm (closed Sundays in July and August).
