Moms Program

On Monday, October 20, from 5 to 8 pm, My Place restaurant will donate 20 percent of their sales to the Moms. Come and enjoy dinner and help a good cause at the same time.

Parent Connection

The grassroots organization dedicated to raising awareness concerning substance abuse is holding its next forum Wednesday, October 22, from 7 to 9 pm, at Newtown Middle School. Youth Officer Dana Schubert, among others, will discuss drug types, the level of incidence in town, and the implications of parents serving alcohol to minors.

 

Hope Support Group

Support group for parents of children involved with substance abuse. This group meets Mondays from 7:30 to 9:30 pm, Parent’s Corner. All are welcome!

4H — Grades 5 and 6, 3 to 4:30 pm Tuesday at Fairfield Hills.

HYSAB (High School Youth Advisory Board) — Meeting Monday, October 25, at 5:45 pm.

MSYAB (Middle School Youth Advisory Board) — Meeting Tuesday, October 28, from 2:15 to 3:15 pm.

NYCAAP (Newtown Youth Creating AIDS Awareness for Peers) –– Please call for meeting schedule.
