The Second Company Governorâs Horse Guard will hold its annual horse show on Sunday, July 24, from 8 am to 4 pm.
The show will be held on their grounds at Fairfield Hills at 4 Wildlife Drive.
Everyone is welcome to stop down and watch a fun day of English and Western riding, jumping and driving. There will be Beginner English and Leadline walking events to advanced Jumping events as well as miniature horse demonstrations, a tour of the facility, and a visit with 32 cavalry horses that serve in one of the oldest militia units in the United States.
Junior and adult riders are welcome to enter any of the beginner, advanced and national medal class categories. Entries will be accepted on the day of the show, which is recognized by the Connecticut Horse Show Association (CHSA) and the Hunter & Jumper Associations.

The Second Company Governorâs Horse Guard, commanded by Major Janis Arena, is a volunteer unit with more than 40 active members who travel across Connecticut for weekly duties, parades and community functions. The Second Company was chartered by the Connecticut State Legislature in 1808.
