Gregory R. Peck of 19 Buttonball Drive, Sandy Hook, earned dean’s list recognition at the University of New Haven for the spring 2000 semester. Students named to the dean’s list have earned a semester grade point average of 3.5 or higher. _James Peeke Edelen of Newtown recently graduated from the University of Iowa with a Master of Fine Arts degree.

Kristen Deschermeier, a sophomore at American University,  was named to the spring 2000 dean’s list. A Newtown resident, she is majoring in international studies.
