Extended Registration For Borough Election

The Newtown Registrars of Voters plan to offer special extended office hours for voter registration on Monday, April 25 from 9 am to 8 pm.

This statutorily required accommodation will provide extra time for Borough of Newtown residents to register to vote for the upcoming borough elections. Only qualified borough residents are permitted to vote for borough officers.

That election will be Monday, May 2. Voting will be held for the first time at the Registrars office at the Newtown Municipal Center at Fairfield Hills.

According to Democratic Registrar LeReine Frampton, the borough election will feature a paper ballot versus printed machine ballots because none of the borough candidates are facing opposition.
