Curing Cancer With Wine
Curing Cancer With Wine
The Leukemia & Lymphoma Societyâs big annual event, Light The Night, does not return until the fall, but fundraising continues year-round.
In fact, Kristen Angell, the new campaign coordinator â special events & LTN (Light The Night) for LLSâs Wilton office, will bring one of her first special events to Sandy Hook next month. âThe Cure is Only A Sip Awayâ is a wine tasting with live music and catered hors dâoeuvres that will be hosted by McLaughlin Vineyards on Sunday, May 1.
The event will run from 1 to 4 pm, and tickets are $25 in advance, or $30 at the door, with proceeds to benefit LLS and its mission to find a cure for leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkinâs disease and myeloma, and to improve the quality of life of patients and their families. Contact Ms Angell at 203-665-1400 or Kristen.Angell@lls.org for reservations or additional information.
The vineyard is on Alberts Hill Road, off Walnut Tree Hill Road.
Newtown will host the 2011 Fairfield County Light The Night event on Saturday, September 24, at Newtown Youth Academy. Teams have begun forming and fundraising can be done at any time. Visit LightTheNight.org/CT for additional information on the September event.
