Two NHS seniors were honored recently by thew National Achievement Scholarship Program for scoring in the top five percent of the 130,000 African American students who took the 2005 PSATs. Dana Metzger and Nikia McFadden, both members of the National Honor Society,  received plaques for this milestone on October 24.
âColleges will inundate you with offers,â said Superintendent of Schools Evan Pitkoff. âThank you to your parents for doing such a great job.â
Nikia has not made any decisions yet about which college she would like to attend, but knows she wants to major in math.
Dana would like to attend University of Virginia, but is undecided about her major.
