A Service Of Remembrance

NEW MILFORD — New Milford VNA Hospice invites all members of the community to attend the 23rd Annual Interfaith Remembrance Service on Sunday, November 5, at 3 pm, at St John’s Episcopal Church on the Green.

This ecumenical service is held each November, which is Hospice Month, to remember and honor loved ones. It is comprised of the reading of the Roll of Remembrance (names of NMVNA patients, Hospice patients, and members of the community at large), music, inspirational readings, Scripture, and a homily delivered by an area clergyman.

This year the VNA is delighted to be back at St John’s as the parish celebrates its rebuilding from the fire of 2004. The Reverend Stephanie Bennett, the new pastor at the United Methodist Church of New Milford, will be the homilist.

A reception will follow the service in St John’s Church Hall. Anyone who would like their loved one’s name placed on the Roll of Remembrance should call Mary Peitler at 860-354-2216.
