To the Editor:

As a small business owner, I think it is very important that people know our State Representative DebraLee Hovey has been recognized as someone fighting to create jobs and help small businesses in Monroe and Newtown.

DebraLee was recently endorsed by the Connecticut Business and Industry Association (CBIA), the state’s largest business organization with 10,000 members.

In making its endorsement, CBIA President and CEO John Rathgeber stated, “With so much at stake in this election, it is important to have legislators who understand the significance of encouraging economic growth and job creation in Connecticut. DebraLee Hovey has shown a clear grasp of the economic issues facing the people of Monroe and Newtown. We encourage voters to re-elect DebraLee, as we believe she will work to make decisions that will improve our economy and make Connecticut a better place to live and work.”

Clearly our state needs someone who is hailed as being in such strong support of job creation. With the current crisis facing our economy, we simply cannot afford to elect anyone else at this time. DebraLee is the right choice for Monroe and Newtown.
