Christmas Cover

To the Editor:

On behalf of The Newtown Woman’s Club, GFWC, Inc, I would like to thank you for the beautiful front page of the Christmas Edition of The Newtown Bee. It was quite a pleasant surprise to see the wreath, decorated with the Newtown Woman’s Club ornaments, as well as the acknowledgement, grace the front page. The extra copies of the front page given to our club historian, Lorraine VanderWende, were proudly displayed at our meeting and will be carefully preserved in our archives.

Through the General Federation of Women’s Club, our club has won many awards for participation in the various activities of our organization. None, however, mean as much to us as the recognition you have shown us. The honor of having our ornaments on your December 19 cover of The Bee was the highlight of a successful club year. You have made us very happy and proud. Thank you.
