New Headmaster at Taft School
WATERBURY— The Taft School board of trustees has announced that William R. MacMullen will be the fifth headmaster of Taft, succeeding Lance R. Odden, who is retiring in June after leading the school for 29 years. Mr MacMullen, who holds the Edwin C. Douglas Chair, is currently a dean, instructor in English, and coach at Taft.
A 1978 graduate of Taft, Mr MacMullen holds a bachelor of arts degree from Yale and a master's from Middlebury College. At Yale he majored in American Studies. He joined the Taft faculty in 1983.
