Katherine E. Bouteiller received academic honors from Northeastern University in Boston, Mass., for the 2003 spring semester. Ms Bouteiller is pursuing a degree in marketing.
Jessica L. Omasta of Sandy Hook was recently inducted into Phi Eta Sigma, the oldest and largest honor society in the United States, at St Bonaventure University in St Bonaventure, N.Y.
Matthew Amaral, son of Frank and Brenda Amaral of Sandy Hook, recently graduated from Naval Training Command in Great Lakes, Ill. A 2003 graduate from Newtown High School, Mr Amaral is now in Pensacola, Fla., attending school for airman electronics and will the be stationed aboard the USS Washington in Norfolk, Va.
Meghann Heath was among 1,241 graduate students to earn their advanced educational degrees this fall from Boston University. Ms Heath received a masterâs degree in international relations.
Lindsay Hudson-Tolles received the Newtown Bridle Lands Associationâs $500 2003 Memorial Scholarship in May. Lindsayâs past accomplishments include volunteer work at HORSE of Connecticut, Animal Acres cat and dog adoption kennel, and the Brain Trauma unit at Norwalk Hospital. Ms. Hudson-Tolles began studies this fall at Virginia Intermont College with a major in equine science.
