Free Gun Locks Offered To Public

As part of its national Project Child Safe program, the National Shooting Sports Foundation (NSSF) plans to give a quantity of cable-style gun locks to Newtown police on Thursday, October 30, for free distribution to the public.

The NSSF, which is headquartered in Newtown, also plans to provide free educational materials on gun safety for distribution.

The Project Child Safe program is intended to make homes containing firearms safer by promoting responsible firearm ownership and storage.
