Staudinger Receives VFW Auxiliary Award

The Ladies Auxiliary of Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW) Post 308 has presented the National Home Life Membership Award to Joyce Staudinger.

Ms Staudinger was honored for collecting thousands of labels for the Campbell’s Labels for Education program, making VFW Post 308 auxiliary the top in the state for the second consecutive year.

The National Home, formed in 1925, is made up of homes for orphaned children of veterans, located in Eaton Rapids, Michigan.

Anyone who would like to help may drop off labels at the VFW Post 308 canteen on Tinkerfield Road, or call Evelyn Urban, Newtown’s National Home chairman, at 426-4339.
