The Town and Country Garden Club of Newtown, with the cooperation of Newtown Lions Club and the Newtown Parks and Recreation Department, is planning a nature walk to be held on Sunday, June 1, between 2 and 4 pm. The walk will be within the Orchard Hill Nature Center, so participants should plan to meet in the parking area near the nature center’s sign on Orchard Hill Road.

Families are encouraged to hike the mile and a half trail through areas where many native wildflowers can be seen among stately trees and meadows. There is even a brook with an amazing waterfall and remnants of an old mill from 1855.

Ten nature related questions will be posted along the walk, and prizes awarded for those who answer them correctly. Refreshments will be served.
