Selectmen Make Appointments

The Board of Selectmen approved several appointments to town boards and

commissions at its regular meeting Monday night.

Republican James Boyland was appointed to the Planning and Zoning Commission

as an alternate member for a two-year term.

Gus Palmieri, a Republican, received approval for a four-year stint as a

regular member of the Public Building and Site Commission.

Three members were also appointed to the Jury Committee for one year,

including Democrat Catherine Andrews and Republicans Tara Bennett and Marie

Sturdevant.

Approved for membership on the Housatonic Resource Recovery Authority (HRRA)

was First Selectman Bob Cascella as a regular member, and Town Works Director

Fred Hurley as an alternate.

Fay Lassios received the OK for a one-term membership on the Cachement Area

Council, the Northwest regional mental health board.
