Rural Life Museum Open On Limited Basis
WOODBURY â The Buz Russell Farm and Rural Life Museum at Flanders Nature Center & Land Trust will be open to the public on Saturday, November 1, from 1 to 4 pm. This will be the last time the museum will be open this season. Admission is free.
The new museum, a converted three-bay garage on the nature centerâs property, displays farm tools dating from the 19th and early 20th Century. Also shown are toys such as cast-iron trucks, fire engines, and old sleds, all from the personal collection of Bethlehem resident Buz Russell, and which is now part of Flandersâ and Woodburyâs heritage.
The museum, adjacent to Flandersâ ânorth barn,â is on Flanders Road, a short distance beyond Church Hill Road and about three miles north of Route 6 in Woodbury. For further information, call 263-3711.
