Police Make Traffic Changes

For Animal Shelter

The town has made some traffic-flow changes at its waste transfer station and recycling center on Ethan Allen Road to improve traffic flow to and from the adjacent municipal animal shelter.

Traffic entering the complex will proceed inward in two parallel lanes. The right lane of the two lanes is designated for traffic entering the waste transfer station and the recycling center. The left lane is designated for traffic planning to enter the animal shelter parking area.

Traffic-flow markings, which recently were painted on the pavement, prohibit right-lane vehicles from parking or standing in an area that would block vehicle access to and exit from the animal shelter. Police urge the public not to park or to stand in the marked area.

The traffic-flow changes are intended to prevent traffic tie-ups at the combined facility.
