Financial Aid Night At Newtown High School
Financial Aid Night
At Newtown High School
Newtown High School guidance department will be conducting a financial aid night on Tuesday, December 6, at 7 pm, in the lecture hall. This program is geared to parents of students as young as elementary and middle school to help them better plan how to cover the cost of college. Parents of high school students will find the program helpful as well.
Guidance director Neil Culhane stated that many private colleges average in price from $31,000 to $42,000 per year. Costs for a college education today range from $120,000 to $250,000 and many students are now taking five years to graduate.
So where does a family come up with that kind of money? Come and hear the answers. A speaker will provide information on how to plan for college costs. Information about scholarships and how to fill out the FAFSA (Federal Application for Federal Student Aid) form will be available as well.
For questions regarding the program contact Neil Culhane at 426-7652.
