Journalism Satire To Be Discussed

RIDGEFIELD — Evelyn Waugh’s Scoop is a scathing satire of the world of journalism. The book follows the story of William Boot, a mild-mannered nature writer who is mistakenly hired as a war correspondent by a London newspaper and sent off to cover an impending African revolution.

Ridgefield Library’s AM Book Group will discuss Ms Waugh’s book during its meeting on Wednesday, November 21, at 10 am. The group is free, open to the public, and always welcomes new members. The library, at 472 Main Street, can be reached by calling 203-438-2282.
