Books, Baked Goods And Fun At Fraser-Woods, November 4

The Fraser-Woods School will hold its Annual Family Fun Day and Bake Sale and Book Fair Saturday, November 4. This event, which will run 10 am to 3 pm, is open to the public.

The book fair will be hosted by local bookseller, Linda’s Story Time in Monroe, which features books and educational gifts for all ages from preschoolers to high school students and even adults.

There will be a special guest appearance by children’s author Alan Katz. Also a songwriter and television comedy writer, Mr Katz will visit the fair and autograph books from 11 am to 1 pm.

Mr Katz is known for creating ludicrous lyrics to traditional tunes. He is the author of the “Silly-Dilly” books, including Take Me Out of the Bathtub. He will introduce his newest book in the series, Are You Quite Polite? Silly Dilly Manners Songs.

The bake sale will feature apple pancakes and hot apple cider, plus a wide variety of cookies, pies, specialty breads and confections.

Cameron the Caterpillar inflatable for toddlers, a climb-through obstacle course for older children, professional storytelling, games, and crafts will entertain kids of all ages.

Entrance and activities for kids are free. This event will take place indoors at the school, located at 173 South Main Street.
