Free Blood Pressure Screening

The Ashlar of Newtown Nursing Department will sponsor a free blood pressure screening on Wednesday, January 31,  from 10 am to noon at Cyrenius H. Booth Library on Main Street.

The screening will be conducted by a licensed nurse who will have free information about high blood pressure. Carol Carlson, RN, the director of nursing services at Ashlar, said that because persons can have high blood pressure and still feel fine, it is important to have blood pressure checked regularly.
