In Loving Memory Of

Gail Schiron
Gail Blessing Schiron, beloved mother, grandmother, aunt, and friend, passed away peacefully on September 4. She is survived by her children, Debora, Lisa, Cristine, and Peter; her sons-in-law, Bert, Fred and Chris; and her adored grandchildren, Brendon, Tyler, Lauren, Evan and Dylan.
Her husband, Peter, her mother, Beatrice, and her sister, Lorraine, predeceased her.
Born in Norwalk, Gail was a longtime resident of Woodbury, and also called Newtown home. She dedicated her life to her family, embracing her roles as a loving mother, aunt and — most importantly — grandmother or “Nonnie.”
Professionally, Gail was deeply committed to serving her community. As the former director of elderly care and social worker for the Town of Redding, she devoted her career to advocating for the rights and well-being of the aging population and underserved residents. Her compassion and advocacy touched many lives and left a lasting legacy.
Gail will be remembered for her warmth, kindness, and unwavering devotion to those she loved. Her memory will live on in the hearts of her family and all who knew her.
A private graveside service will be held, honoring Gail’s wishes for an intimate farewell surrounded by those dearest to her heart.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Gail’s memory to St Jude Children’s Research Hospital or Regional Hospice in Danbury.
