Summer Concert Series, Tuesday Tunes Concerts Details Announced

Newtown Parks & Recreation has released the schedule for two popular concert series returning this summer. All concerts will be focused around the band shell at Dickinson Memorial Park, 50 Elm Drive at Brushy Hill Road.

All concerts are free. BYO seating. Picnics are welcome, with all attendees asked to carry out everything they carry in.

The Summer Concert Series, generally 6:30-8 pm Thursday evenings, will open June 25 with a performance by The Swing Syndicate.

The regular schedule will continue July 9 with Keltic Kick; July 16, Karma Klash; July 23, One Track Mind; July 30, Echoes of Sinatra; and August 6, The Lonetown Boys.

A special Friday evening concert is also planned, on June 26, when Al Fenton Big Band will perform a Semiquincentennial/America 250 concert.

The evening series is co-sponsored by Newtown Parks & Recreation and D’Amico Pettinicci Injury Lawyers.

Tuesday Tunes, the midday series sponsored by Friends of the C.H. Booth Library, will also return to the park’s band shell. Concerts will run 11 am to noon and will open with Ryan SanAngelo on July 7.

The series will continue July 14 with BenAnna Band; July 21, Joy Blooms; July 28, Michele Urban; and August 4, Judy Pancoast.
