Newtown World Champion Taekwondo Brought Back Tons Of Medals From Georgia Tournament
Students from Newtown’s World Champion Taekwondo school recently traveled to Georgia to compete in the American Taekwondo United tournament held May 22-23 and returned home with outstanding results.
A total of 13 students participated in the event after months of dedicated training and preparation. Competing in their first out-of-state tournament, every student earned a medal and represented the school with exceptional effort, sportsmanship, and determination.
The Newtown school joined the New Haven, East Rock, and Westport schools to compete as one team. Students continuously cheered for, encouraged, and supported each other on and off the competition floor.
In addition to the individual achievements, the team was also honored with the “Best Taekwondo Around” plaque, making the experience even more memorable for everyone involved.
World Champion Taekwondo teachers are incredibly proud of all of their students for their hard work, positive attitude, and courage to compete on a large stage. Their success reflects not only their talent, but also the discipline, respect, and perseverance they have developed through Taekwondo training.
