It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Carol Corsetti on August 6, 2026.

Carol was born in Brooklyn, New York, and was raised in both New York City and Croton-on-Hudson, New York. She spent the last years of her life in Newtown, where she shared many wonderful years with her beloved husband, Ken Dempsky, who predeceased her.

Carol was a daughter of Alice and William Newton, who predeceased her in the 1970s.

She is survived by her loving sister, Lynne Luria, and Lynne’s husband, Bill, of Bainbridge Island, Washington; her brother, Bill Newton, of Ossining, New York; her brother, John Newton, and his wife, Chris, of Southport, North Carolina; and several cherished nieces and nephews.

She was also predeceased by her brother, Gil Newton, who passed away just a few months before her.

Carol built a successful career with Morrow Sodali LLC in Stamford, where she served as Director of Administration. She was deeply respected by her colleagues for her professionalism, dedication, and kindness.

She generously volunteered at Blythedale Children’s Hospital, was an active member and officer of the Lewisboro Garden Club, and served on the Board of Directors of The Meadows at Cross River. Through her volunteer work, and community involvement, Carol touched many lives.

Above all, Carol treasured the relationships she shared with her family and friends. She will be remembered for the love, laughter, encouragement, and unwavering support she gave so freely throughout her life.

Funeral services and burial will be private.
