Regina Ann Salomea Bresson, 93, of Newtown, passed away August 13, 2026.

Known to her family as "Mema,” Regina grew up in Danbury and Newtown, was a nurse for approximately 40 years. She was educated at Mary Immaculate School of Nursing in Jamaica, Queens, N.Y., and served at Danbury and New Milford hospitals, Glen Hill, Buckingham Gardens, and Ashlar of Newtown health care facilities.

She was married to Roy A. Bresson 1957-1994 (his death); had four children, Mark, Christopher, Robin, and Maureen; several nieces, nephews, grandchildren, great grandchildren.

She was predeceased by her sister, Marion Marcinek; brother Joseph Marcinek; and parents Mary Edna Marcinek (Schult) and Joseph Marcinek.

Friends may call at Honan Funeral Home, 58 Main Street in Newtown, on Tuesday, August 25, 2026, from 9:30 to 10:30 am. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in St Rose of Lima Church, 46 Church Hill Road in Newtown, at 11 am. Interment will follow in St Mary Cemetery, Bethel.
