Mitch — A Community Focused Public Servant
To The Editor:
Mitch Bolinsky moved to Newtown on September 1, 2000, and just two days later began his first act of community service as a Cub Scout leader. Since that moment, he has remained an active and dedicated volunteer every single day.
Mitch has served Newtown as State Representative for 14 years with steady dedication and integrity. He is a thoughtful, responsive and community focused public servant whose previous experience includes serving Newtown on the Legislative Council, Economic Development Commission and Board of Ethics. His public sector experience includes marketing and regulatory affairs.
In the General Assembly, Mitch plays a key role on the major committees of Aging, Appropriations, Education and the select Committee on Special Education. As a ranking member on the Aging committee, he is a champion for seniors and develops legislation that improves their quality of life. In fact, he has received an AARP Legislative Achievement Award several times. His experience and record of accomplishments reflect not only a deep commitment to seniors, but also strong advocacy for education, veterans, and individuals with disabilities.
Beyond legislation, Mitch is known for his constituent service as someone who listens, gets results and treats concerns with respect. He is known for working around the clock as constituents sometimes receive a response from him in the late night hours. Whether helping local organizations navigate state processes, supporting community events, or advocating for Newtown’s interests at the Capitol, he brings a steady, caring presence to his work.
Join me for voting for Mitch, there is no substitute for his experience, leadership and caring.
