Newtown High School’s boys' golf team won two matches in as many days and four straight in mid September. On September 16, the Nighthawks visited Masuk of Monroe at Whitney Farms and won 150-161. Jack Wishneski and Nate Pickard both carded 35s, Will Lokey had a 39, Henry Laughlin 41, and Aiden Andreotta 46. NHS visited New Fairfield the next day and won 158-168. Lokey and Pickard both had 38s, Wishneski had a 39, Andreotta 43, and Laughlin 44.

Newtown earned a pair of wins over Bethel, 146-153 at Rock Ridge Country Club on September 14, and 152-165 on the road on September 21. In the win at Rock Ridge, Lokey had a 33 and Wishneski 34 to lead the way. Pickard logged a 39, Laughlin 40, and Max Carta 43 to round out the Nighthawk scoring. In the most recent win over Bethel, Lokey had a 36, Pickard a 38, Wishneski and Laughlin both carded 39, and Andreotta had a 43.

These victories were nice bounce-back performances after the team's first loss of the campaign, a 147-155 setback to visiting Pomperaug of Southbury on September 9. Lokey and Wishneski both had a 36, Laughlin 41, Pickard 42, and Andreotta a 47.
