On Monday, October 12, students at Head O’ Meadow flooded out the front doors to celebrate a job well done in raising funds for the Parent Teacher Association. This was the first Hawk Walk-A-Thon since 2018 and the school raised $35,000.

Students were thrilled to spend the end of their day walking around the school. Students walked around the school three times; many had family members who joined in on the fun, too.

PTA Co-President Meghan Salonia said that the funds raised go towards enrichment activities. At the end of the event, she took the mic and shared that parts of the budget for this year have to be rewritten due to the magnitude of funds raised. Admission for the Halloween Hop and Valentine’s Day Dance are both waived for all students because of the successful fundraiser, and candy is going to be provided by the PTA for the Trunk-or-Treat.

There was lots of singing and dancing before, during, and after the walk. Students here are dancing along to the iconic song “Y.M.C.A.” by Village People.
