The Parade Would Be Better Without The Candy
The Parade Would Be Better
Without The Candy
To the Editor:
Congratulations to the parade organizers for another wonderful Labor Day Parade.
I canât believe though that we are the only family that believes the candy throwing should stop. Many parents to not want their children to have the candy. It must also be an expense for the various groups that provide it. Even the coverage in the Danbury paper emphasized this practice.
Future organizers, please, seriously consider stopping this distraction. Letâs just enjoy the bands, service groups, and all parade participants.
Itâs sad when a 5-year-oldâs response, to what he liked best about the parade, was the candy!
Sincerely,
Veronica Niedermeyer
