Managing Anxiety: A safe place for adults to learn and enhance skills to cope with these distressing thoughts and feelings. Topics for discussion will include what anxiety feels like to me, the process of change, affirmations/positive self talk, identifying mistaken beliefs, and distorted thinking. The ten-week series will be facilitated by Pat Becker, LCSW. It will meet on Thursdays, 4 to 5 pm, beginning September 13.

We accept most private insurance plans, Medicaid, Medicare and Husky. A sliding scale is available for those who do not have insurance, with fees for the group ranging from $20-$60 per group session based on the household income and family size. Proof of income is required for sliding scale. Registration is required.

Youth Programs

Job Bank- Are you looking to hire someone to do some yard work or maybe babysit your kids? If so contact the NYFS Job Bank to learn more about the program. The Job Bank is compiled of over 200 youths between the ages of 13 and 18 who are interested in performing jobs such as babysitting, yard work, house work, clerical, animal care, restaurant, tutoring, computer assistance, and other odd jobs.

All of the youths are trained, reference checked, and interviewed. (The program had been expanded over the summer months to allow college students up to age 23 to be considered, but has returned to its younger age limit for the new academic year.)
