*Music at Mocha Coffee House continues this weekend with the return of J.D. HILL on Friday, May 19, and then BRIAN DOLZANI on Saturday night. Both shows start at 7:30 and will run about two hours.

Upcoming music events for the Sandy Hook beanery also include DAN SAWYER on May 26, C.M.C MUSIC 6 on May 28, and KERRI GO ROUND SING-ALONG, which looks like a family event, on May 31.
Next weekend the coffee house will have two music offerings on Saturday. When the 6th Annual Great Pootatuck Duck Race returns on Saturday, May 28, Will & J.D. will be offering live music from 11:30 am until 3 pm. Saturday night INFRASONIC will perform the music of R.E.M., beginning at 7:30.
*Two more summer shows through Live Nation promotions are going on sale this weekend. Both shows will be on sale Friday at 10 am, in fact.
Tickets for GUSTER, who will be at The Chevrolet Theater in Wallingford on July 14, have been priced at $38 for all seats. Ray LaMontagne will play the opening set.
TOM PETTY & THE HEARTBREAKERS and THE ALLMAN BROTHERS BAND will be at Dodge Music Center in Hartford on Saturday, August 12. Tickets for that show are $38 for lawn seating and $85 for the reserved seats in the pavilion.
*Mohegan Sun has announced a new acoustic series in which concerts will be presented at least once a month between May and August. SUZANNE VEGA, SHAWN MULLINS, INDIGO GIRLS and MARC COHN have all been scheduled.
The first act in the series will be Vega, who will be in Mohegan Sun Cabaret on Wednesday and Thursday, May 31 and June 1. Showtime is 7:30 both nights, and all tickets are $30. Following Wednesdayâs show Vega will be meeting fans and signing autographs at 9 pm at Spinstreet.
Tickets for Shawn Mullins, who will perform June 26-27, are $25 and the performer will do a meet-and-greet with fans starting at 9:30 both nights.
The Indigo Girls will be in The Cabaret Theatre on Monday and Tuesday, July 24-25, and Marc Cohn will be there on Monday and Tuesday, August 28-29. Ticket prices have not yet been announced for either of these shows.
*A notable addition to the calendar at Toadâs Place is a June 16 show by SHAWN COLVIN. Tickets are on sale, priced at $27.50 in advance or $30 at the door, and the show will be open to all ages.
A few nights later the club will host Rock 4 Food, a benefit for Connecticut Food Bank, also open to all ages. Performances for the June 22 event will come from JIBARO FUNK, THE NAVELS, ELECTRIC MAYHEM and VIOLET REIN.
