Monday, May 31 – The Bedford Riding Lanes will hold its Memorial Day Country Pace and Luncheon on Monday, May 31, at the John Jay Homestead Historic Site on Route 22 in Katonah, New York. Entries close on May 15. Limit is 130 teams. Fee is $80 per adult rider ($70 for BRLA members) and $60 per junior rider ($50 for BRLA members). For luncheon only, adults will be $30 and juniors $20. Pace will run from 8 am to 12 noon, with luncheon from 12 noon to 2 pm, a raffle drawing at 1:45 pm, and announcement of results and presentation of ribbons at 2 pm. Sunday, July 11 - The Bethlehem Horse Show will be held Sunday, July 11, at the Morris Equestrian Center on Route 61 in Bethlehem. The show will start at 8 am sharp, rain or shine. Sunday, August 15 – The Second Company Governor’s Horse Guard will hold an Open House on Sunday, August 15, complete with public tours, performances, demonstrations, pony rides for kids as well as recruit enlistment information for fall recruit classes. Saturday, June 5 – The Greenwich Kennel Club’s 72nd AKC All-Breed Dog Show and Obedience Trial will be held Saturday, June 5, at Purchase College, SUNY, in Purchase, New York. There will be majors in many breeds, eight breed sweepstakes, competing veterans all breeds, divided classes, and all in lvel spacious rings. Special features include “Meet the Author”; a demonstration from DAWGS (Disaster and Wilderness Ground Search team); a K-9 Semen Collection Clinic (advanced appointment required); Paws and Paddle Canine Conditioning; and AKC Canine Good Citizen Tests.
