Mr and Mrs Sanya Sukduang

Katrina Poplawski and Sanya Sukduang of Kensington, Md., were married August 30, 2003 in Chevy Chase Presbyterian Church, Washington, D.C., with the Reverend Douglas Clark officiating.

A reception following the ceremony was held at the Hay Adams Hotel in Washington, D.C.

The bride lived in Newtown from 1977 to 1990, and she graduated from Newtown High School in 1990. Her parents are Daniel Poplawski of Lawrenceville, Ga., and Barbara Williams of Surfside Beach, S.C.

The groom’s parents are Anunta and Patricia Sukduang of Rochester, N.H.

The bride was given in marriage by her father.

Matron of honor was Erika Krasnickas Keeton of Watertown, Mass.

Bridesmaids were Lara Diefenderfer Wulff, Tracey Young Hartman, Vicki Pope, and Lauren Forgacs.

Best man was Sayun Sukduang of Starksville, Miss.

Ushers were Suriyun Sukduang, Suni Sukduang, Scott Breen, and Matt White.

The bride earned a bachelor of arts degree from Dickinson College in 1994, and she graduated from American University’s Washington College of Law in 1999. She is an attorney for the Board of Governors of the Federal Reserve System.

The groom attended Boston College and received his bachelor of science degree in 1996, He attended the American University Washington College of Law, graduating in 1999. He is a patent attorney with Finnegan, Henderson, Farabow, Garrett & Dunner, LLP.

After a wedding trip to Rome, Italy, and Thailand, the couple is residing in Kensington, Md.
