Danbury Library To Host Bestselling Author Harlan Coben

DANBURY — Danbury Library will host a meet-the-author event with an entertaining and informative talk by critically-acclaimed, bestselling author Harlan Coben.

“An Afternoon with Harlan Coben” will be held on Sunday, April 22, from 2:30 to 4:30 pm at the Ethan Allen Hotel. The program will feature a talk by Mr Coben, followed by a question and answer period and book signing. Mr Coben’s newest thriller, The Woods, will be released on April 17 and will be sold and autographed at the event.

Tickets for the event, which include dessert and coffee, are $20 for members of The Friends of the Danbury Library and $25 for non-members. Tickets must be purchased in advance by Monday, April 16. Tickets will not be available at the door.

Harlan Coben is the author of the extremely popular Myron Bolitar mystery series, which features the exploits of a funny and intrepid New Jersey sports agent.  The most recent Myron Bolitar book, Promise Me, was published in 2006. His stand-alone novels The Innocent, Just One Look, No Second Chance, Tell No One and Gone for Good, have appeared on the top of major bestseller lists including The New York Times, Publishers Weekly and USA Today. His books have been published in over 30 languages and have been number-one bestsellers in more than half a dozen countries.

Harlan Coben was the first writer in more than a decade to be invited to write fiction for The New York Times op-ed page.  His essays and short fiction have also appeared in Men’s Health magazine and the Newark Star Ledger. He has won the Mystery Writers of America’s Edgar Allan Poe Award, The Anthony Award at the World Mystery Conference, and The Shamus Award given by the Private Eye Writers of America.

Mr Coben lives in New Jersey with his wife, a pediatrician, and their four children.
