Hazel’s Liquor Store

Hazel Bouchard, 78, of Sandy Hook, died January 20, at Danbury Hospital. Born December 31, 1933, in Eagle Lake, Maine, she was the daughter of Homer and Izenne Smart Bouchard.

Hazel was the longtime owner of Hazel’s Liquor Store in Newtown.

Survivors include a sister, Pearl Cyr, and her husband Harold, of Biddeford, Maine; as well as four cherished friends, including Carnette Ferguson of Waterbury. Two nephews and a niece also survive.

A prayer service took place January 26 at Honan Funeral Home, Newtown. Interment will be in the spring, at Newtown Village Cemetery.

Memorial donations be made in Ms Bouchard’s name to a charity of one’s choice.
