The Beachside Soccer Club’s premier U13 team finished first and the premier U14 team finished second this past fall in their respective Connecticut Junior Soccer Association (CJSA) divisions. Both teams feature Newtown players.

The U13 team also won the state championship with a record of 5-1-0. Beachside scored 25 goals and allowed just nine. Players hail from Newtown, Easton, Fairfield, New Canaan, Norwalk, Trumbull, Weston and Westport and include Case Carpenter, Connor Antisdal, Ben Vinograd, Jeff Leach, Daniel Ruth, Tom Schanzer, Peter Campbell, Luke Magill, Jonathan Colangelo, John Beierle, Andrew Kydes, Harry Ocampo, Michael Sikora, Michael Zopfi, Sam Cain, Ryan Bohlinh, Colin Nangle and Charlie Reiter.

The U14 team finished behind Oakwood by two points with a record of 4-2-0. The team also finished first at the HBC Renzulli Tournament and the Nashua, New Hampshire, World Cup Tournament. In tournament play, Beachside was 12-0-5 with 40 goals scored and 12 shutouts. Players hail from Newtown, Bridgeport, New Canaan, Fairfield, Southport, Westport, Greenwich, and Trumbull and include Raul Arquaz, Brendan Campbell, Tom Curran, Jeff Inglis, Robbie Kramer, Chris Lane, Matthew Leach, Chris Meinke, Nick Mentessana, Brian Miles, Sean Mulligan, Edward Odre, Felipe Ribeiro, Thomas Sakara, Matt Sweitzer, Marcus Tracy, Brad Wilczynski, and Will Winslow.
