The Working Women’s Forum, an association of local professionals and entrepreneurs will feature “Shifting Gears: Managing Successful Transitions,” by noted communications expert, change strategist, published author, and speaker Anne Witkavitch.

She is a former communications executive with GE and The Hartford, and editor of “Press Pause Moments,” which are essays about life transition by women writers.

A professed “social media geek,” she will discuss how to know if you are ready for change, and the steps to creating a clear and focused vision. She will also cover setting strategic goals that are realistic, and establishing priorities to ensure success.

The program will be held Wednesday, April 13, at The Villa Restaurant, 4 Riverside Road in Sandy Hook. Networking and appetizers begin at 6 pm followed by the guest speaker.

For reservations call 203-426-7022, or e-mail register at rsvp@workingwomensforum.net. The program and appetizer fee will be $10 for members, and $15 for nonmembers with a cash bar.

The group will be accepting canned food, personal health, and beauty items for the Newtown Food Pantry.
