DAWS To Hold Silent Auction Fundraiser
BETHEL â Danbury Animal Welfare Society (DAWS) will hold its second From Wags to Whiskers event on Sunday, November 5, from 2 to 5 pm, at La Fortuna Restaurant. The Hat City Blues Band is revved up to entertain attendees as they participate in the silent auction and enjoy hors dâoeuvres and refreshments.
Auction items range from large to small, with something in every price range and will include: two nights at the Walt Disney Swan and Dolphin Hotel and two tickets to Walt Disney World; a guided hike and picnic at Tarrywile Park; a family four-pack of lawn tickets to Ives Concert Park; golf for two at The Country Club of Fairfield, plus assorted golf items; four tickets and VIP passes to a taping of Comedy Centralâs The Colbert Report; four tickets to Johnny Peers and Muttville Comix at The Ridgefield Playhouse; pet services, portraits and products, home and garden items, spa products and services, artwork, autographed cartoons, sports memorabilia, collectibles, and more.
Supporter level tickets, at $50, include admission, entertainment, hors dâoeuvres, beer, wine, and nonalcoholic beverages, while Patron level tickets, at $100, include a listing as a patron in the event booklet and a chance to win a night in New York City, with dinner at Tribeca Grill and deluxe accommodations at the Soho Grand Hotel (a package worth $750).
