Concert Will Celebrate The King Of Instruments

DANBURY — Danbury Music Centre invites the public to a concert featuring “The King of Instruments” –  the organ.

Danbury Symphony Orchestra, under the direction of David Katz and with organist Stephen Roberts, director of music at St Peter Church, will team up to provide a rousing performance of the mighty Saint-Saens Organ Symphony in C Major and the Poulenc Concerto for Organ, Strings, and Timpani.

The church will be filled with the sounds of the mighty pipe organ and the 70-piece Danbury Symphony Orchestra. The orchestra will also perform the short, yet powerful, “Introduction to the Third Act” of Lohengrin by Wagner.

The free concert will be on Sunday, November 2, beginning at 2:30 pm, at St Peter Church,104 Main Street in Danbury.
