Waldorf Presentation On Parenting

On November 9 at 7 pm, parents and teachers are invited to attend a presentation on “Parenting A Middle School Child” at the Housatonic Valley Waldorf School’s Grade School campus at 1 Jacklin Road.

Working with middle school children presents a unique set of challenges, according to the school, and so does parenting them. The presentation will focus on what parents should keep in mind, and heart, during this unique developmental stage.

Speaker Kathleen Young, a professional mentor for the Housatonic Valley Waldorf School faculty, has taught Waldorf grades one through eight and now specializes in middle and high school. She has served in many pedagogical leadership capacities nationally and internationally and most recently has traveled to China and Colombia to support Waldorf initiatives there.
